The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) is the official regulatory body, representing professional acupuncturists who have an extensive training (minimum three years) in acupuncture and the biomedical sciences appropriate to the practice of this therapy. Members practise a recognised and traditional style of diagnosis and treatment therapy.

 

The BAcC maintains standards of education, ethics, practice and discipline to ensure the health and safety of the public at all times. Members carry full professional indemnity and public liability insurance cover.

Established in 1993, it is arguably the leading college of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in the UK. The resulting course has degree status (Bachelor of Science) and is validated by Kingston University. Students benefit from the hands-on practical knowledge accumulated by the teaching staff, three of whom have been in practice for over 30 years, eleven for over 20 years and 13 for more than ten.
